Jean Marco is a pioneer interventional cardiologist, well known as the Founder and Head of the Interventional Cardiology Unit in the Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse. During his academic and professional career, he was Professor in the University of Toulouse, as well as the Founder and Course Director of the “Complex Coronary Angioplasty and New Techniques in Interventional Cardiology” Course. Moreover, and looking for more entrepreneurial actions, he also created the “Endovascular Therapy Course” organized in Paris and was the Director of this organization.
The Euro Professional Course on Revascularization (EuroPCR) is his most well-known entrepreneurial achievement from 2000 to 2012, while he also served as Director of the Educational Program and Chairman of the Steering Committee on Education at “Institute for Therapy Advancement” and “CrossRoads Institute” in Brussels.
Jean Marco was awarded with the Andreas Grüntzig Award by the European Society of Cardiology in 2005, the GISE Award by the Italian Society of Cardiology in 2007. He also received the Kurt Polzer prize from the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (2008), while he was honoured with the degree of Officer of the “Légion d’Honneur Française” in 2006.
